Thank you so much for the info!!! I'm thinking maybe we can try it for a bit and see how the teeth issues go.

Well day 4 of feeding 1 can of fancy feast each cat as well as their free fed dry food. Both my cats just seem happier. Darcy is so extra snuggly. She seems very pleased

Right--I have told people that if they intend to feed an expensive cat food they had better not feed Fancy Feast first, because their cats probably won't eat the expensive stuff then. I speak from experience: a couple of hundred dollars of expensive food in the trash.

He would do cartwheels for poultry! He stands on my tummy and I hand feed him home cooked turkey snacks I have frozen.

Since human Turkey is a treat, he just gets some here and there though. Otherwise he would go off his Wellness like he did on the Holidays. I wasn't kidding when I called him a turkey gobbler. He was staking out my fridge and charmed anyone walking past. Finally, I chopped it and froze it, so we wouldn't keep giving in to him. And he couldn't smell it.

My furry kids get human Turkey as a treat and we had the same issue on the holidays!! It was like they were just waiting for one of my kids to drop a piece so they could run to it

Day 13 of FF. It's going wonderful. The kitties know when 'their' lunch time is. As soon as I go for the cans and go 'kitties!' they come running

Ours know the sound of lids being removed, and those that are not present come running. Of course if you have not had the prescience to open what it is they want at that moment, they will take one whiff and stalk off in disgust.

Dudley and Sylvester usually only get fed Bozita which comes in a Tetrapack but for some reason they still go crazy if I open a tin of beans! Dudley only ever had dry food at the breeder and Sylvester only ever had dry and pouches, so why do they get so excited by a tin being opened?! Must be something innate!

Sounds good! They are probably happier than eating all dry, and probably happier just to have something different in their lives. The wet can also supply a significant amount of water, which some cats certainly need.

Yeah they do seem a lot happier. We bought a variety of types to try and see which ones they like best but so far they both seem to like it all lol.

My moggy after he chows down the fancy feast comes around for snuggles like he's saying thank you

We started feeding a neighbor's cat that started living on our porch last March. At first she would eat any wet food we put out for her (leftovers and unwanted food from our guys) and seemed thrilled. Not sure she had ever been fed canned food. However, six months later she was becoming like our guys, where she liked only certain things and wanted particular flavors each day. So enjoy the lack of fussiness while you can!
