Three brothers, one big bowl
Well, I bought little kitten bowls before the boys got here. Day one and their heads were too big to get into them - we are now using them for dipping bowls for humans.
Luckily I had also bought three proper sized cat bowls on a recent trip to Waitrose. They are happy eating out of all three of those, one each. That said however, the brothers tend to rotate between each other's bowls and there is no noticeable fighting or shoving.
So, today I got a big (but shallow) stainless steel dog bowl and they seem happy. I am no cat behaviorist though, so is this building up trouble for the future ? Dickie is already trying to "mount" / dominate the other two a bit so I don't want to establish a situation where they fight for food in a negative way.
