Hi there,
can you tell us a bit more about her? is she a big girl frame wise? is she over or underweight? Active girl or chillied out house kitty?
what does she eat at the moment? what is making you think about changing her diet?

Hi, thanks for the reply and sorry for my late response
Well she is 3 years old and about 5.8 kg with a some belly but not big.She lives with us in our flat in Athens so she can't be very active chasing.
For the moment i m feeding her with Royal Canin " young female" for neutered cats I was just wondering if i could give her the the special nutrition by Royal canin made especially for maine coon cats
or that could result to a fat cat...???
What makes me think about changing her diet is that the kibbles of "young female" that she is taking now are not big enough for her jaws and she usually swallows most of it .
Could i change it to the special nutrition made for main coons........????
Thanks in advance

I had two problems with the RC for MC's, the one whose stomach it didn't upset got fat on it & all the others unless I really watched how much they had {& it was never in large quantities because I mainly wet feed mine}had upset tums on it,not nice cleaning up five sets of bloomers.....
Mine now has the Hills Oral, big kibble still for a bit of crunch, lower in calories for the boy whose weight we have to watch but best of all no tummy upsets.
She sounds a good size for a girl but obviously don't know if some is due to overweight or just her natural size, there are other threads on here about feeding so have a look & see if you can pick up on some,we all have different ideas & it really is what suits you & your girl best...x

Yes, I found that we were over feeding the RC MC kibble and have now been given the dreaded Podgy Pet leaflet at the vets! I am now weighing each portion in accordance with the pack and am feeding about a third less it seems (oops!). The trouble is it doesn't look like much in the bowl for the whole day really. But it is the only dry food with large enough kibble I have found that Moofie doesn't swallow whole, so I am interested to read about the Hills Oral.
