Dandruff remedy?
So, I know that diet isn't the first thing you think of when you think of dandruff, but in a way the two are tied in my case. Both my babies have dandruff... Marzen's is worse than Winters, but she does have some. It's not horrible bad, but if I can treat it I will.... About 2 months ago I introduced Brewers yeast, and fish oil into their diet. I mix the Brewers into their wet food, and squirt the fish oil onto their dry. It seems to be working at least ... And they are okay with the brewers, but they REALLY do not like the fish oil. There are days when they barely eat half of thier dry food. I weighed them today and I think they have both lost about 2 pounds. So, the fish oil is out -at least for now. But what else should I do to help control the dandruff? Will the brewers be enough?
Thoughts?
(PS - we brush regularly, and bathe them about every 2 months) - we are completely indoor/ 4th floor balcony cats

One thing I would stop doing unless you show them is the bathing as that strips the natural oils from their coat anyway,the ones that I don't show haven't ever seen a bath & a groom through will keep them fine especially if you use a slicker brush & lift the coat the wrong way first. Primrose oil is one of the good ones to use with a dry scurrfy coat but I find Hills Natures Best bikkies seem to help mine,although I haven't ever read whats contained in the biscuit it does seem to have an oily look to it & when mine didn't have any for a while I did notice a difference in their coats & biscuit isn't the main part of their diet either....x

Try a suppliment like Yumeaga it is supposed to help with dry skni/coats; but it is down to the cat's genetic make up. All my cats are fed the same and live in the same house yet one of my girls has a dry scurfy coat all the others are scurf free zones.
