Question Are eggs ok for cats?

Mandy absolutely loves eggs, especially the runny yolks. It doesn't seem to cause any trouble for her, although I find it a bit unusual that a cat would eat eggs. Anyone else have a cat that eats eggs? Are they safe as an occasional treat?

yes..My King loved to eat the yolk..whether it is boiled , semi boiled or fried..So I used to give him eggs..even if I was preparing egg while he was deep sleep, I could feel furry head n nose n two large paws on the side of my stove with a question mark in his eyes.."mamma..y u tried to cheat me.."so I would always prepare an extra one for him.I dont think there is any problem with that..they can eat eggs..

As they are obligate carnivores, I think as long as they are not Florentine then they are ok.

Their gut will tell you if they are not.

Roark loves eggs, he even eats them raw. Just laps it up. And if I want to be super fancy I mix it in with some raw beef mince for him.

That is not even the worst of it. Roark eats better than I do. He has his Orijen mixed with RC MC Kitten dry food available all day and then he eats raw chicken breast pieces, chicken wings and necks, some giblets, ox and chicken liver, beef mince, lamb chops and even pieces of sirloin steak. All dutifully purchased from Woolworths (which is our equivalent of Marks & Spencer).

    He is a spoilt brat.
