What is your opinion on Royal Canin Maincoon 31?
When I adopted my kittens 4 yrs ago the cattery owner told me that the best food is Royal Canin which he used for his show cats.
The kibbles are larger, and it has ingredients important for this breed which has tendency for hip dysplasia or HCM.
I understand that these problem are genetic, but with large bones size MC need glucosamine sulfate .Recently the company changed the ingredients and packaging of Royal Canin. It became pricier, with addition of EPA/DHEA. My kitties did not like any other dry food, but RC.
We also feed them with wet food (Friskies) , alternating varieties every day. They do not like patte but like chunky food.
Our cost of cat food (wet and dry) will now run about $600 per year for 2 maincoon cats. We have no problem with it, but I wonder if anybody tried this new improved version of Royal Canin. I am also curious about the cost of your food per year.
