Help with uploading photos

HI im new to the forum and am desperate to show off pics of my beautiful Oscar, but when i go through the process it just ends with going back to the gallery page and sayinf invalid image. Can anybody help? It would be very much appreciated!!

I don`t know, but maybe you have to make the pics smaller first.

I upload photos to photobucket first - Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

Then if you just copy the img code from the photo you have uploaded and paste it straight on to your post it should work.

As I recall, you can get an invalid image message if the source photo files are too large. As suggested, try reducing them locally first then upload.

Thanks for everyones help, I have now put some photos of oscar on, I did indeed need to make my photos smaller first!!

How do I reduce the picture?? May I ask someone here to do it for me??? I would like my default picture / avatar to be done ....

Also how many times may I, am I allowed, to post pictures in the pictures section? Is there a limit???
