Sorry to hear he's been poorly...was he like that from when you got him or is it recent?

When I picked him up at 16 weeks he was a bit dirty ie eyes, nose and ears and he did seem a bit run down like he has a bit of a cold . He had all his jabs , he got his eye infection after about 2 weeks of being home and his stalls wasn't very firm so he used to get in a bit of a mess with his fur on his back legs , put him on a good quality food after doing my research on wet food and now he looks lovely and healthy other than his tail , he got his uti about 3 weeks ago which cleared up in 3 days of antibiotics thank god , its been a bit of a fight to keep him healthy and now he's tail playing up , broke my heart seeing him pulling his fur out

Such a shame when they are poorly - glad he is on the mend now though and hope you can get his stud tail sorted out. It isn't a major problem fortunately and I think it's more of a case of breaking the habit of him chewing at it now!

Thank you Louise for shearing your experience and showing concern , sure he will be fine he like going to the vet now as they all make a fuss of him, its like a nice day out to him :D or though it would be cheaper taking him out for dinner or something like that :D all the best Louise

Well we are back home now with hibiscrub to wash his tail and some fuciderm get to put on his skin . They gave me a collar to but I'm thinking I'm going to avoid it at all cost unless he tries to pull his tail off :D the vet agreed with me about it being stud tail anyway £50 later :D best to be safe than sorry

Why then does my girl also have this accumulation of oils on HER tail?? She is NOT a stud. My coons are bro and sis, 10 months old and "fixed". Yet both have an oily patch on their respective tails..
