Introduced Tom to an Abyssinian
Hi good to be here hope someone can help. We have saved two cats due to the recession. Tom was huge when we first got him, months later Max an Abyssinian was added to the family. Of course there was a breaking in period but that was soon resolved and now best of friends. They groom each other and constantly playing and wrestling throughout the day and night.. We have noticed Tom has lost some weight, it seems they just might be the same size these days. Tom use to bowl Max over but those days are over. They both run and are playful and big appetites.
Thanks,
Greg

You say Tom has lost some weight? you do not say how much, only that it seems they might be the same size as a fully grown Abyssinian only weighs normally 8 to 10 pounds and that is tops and the 10 pound usually being a male cat and or a neuter. a medium sized cat in build I would be a little alarmed if the Abyssinian weighs as much as a Mainecoon.
An Abyssinian cat will keep a Mainecoon cat on their toes, and this could mean the MC will be long lean and muscular but all together healthy..
There are many questions to ask... these are just a few you would answer for your self..
Do you know the ages of both cats
Have they been wormed?
Have they been seen recently via a vet?
What are you feeding them?
My Abyssinians are fed RC Outdoor and Abyssinian they also pinch the MC and the Exigent and also the British lol....
