Nope. Because they wouldn't eat without me on their side of the door. So, feed Dicky fish, step through try to get other two to eat theirs "quickly" so i wouldn't have to leave it down. Back into kitchen to hand feed Dicky to pursuade him to have enough. See other two watching me through glass. Back into other room, heads into bowl. Wait 2 mins, back into kitchen. Rinse, repeat...

I am such a sad sack of cat slave. Just gave them one more fillet of pollock each at 10am as they where whining at me continually - not having dry food down has it's affect.

On the good news front, came down this morning and no pile of sick - just a small hairball type hacking in the kitchen doorway which would normally annoy, but not this time. Also, after second breakfast Dicky delivered something more solid and smelling of fish from the other end. I could tell as he appears to have had half of it stuck to his fur. Another 1/2 bath in the sink, but he was tolerant.

Bet you wouldn't have believed a year ago that your life would now be consisting of cat vomit & poo being the main topic of the day....!
I used to have more of both when biscuits were left down ad lib but now they are back on wet food as main with restricted biscuits not so
many problems either end except "furr ball"time.
Is it getting close to their lunch time round of fish....?

Ok wise folk, cause or effect? I washed Dicky's butt again this morning, but legs all clean so this is good. However I saw something bright green wash down the plug hole. I eventually worked out this was a feather from one of the toys he must have eaten.

So, could this be the cause of his upset tummy and has taken a few days to work it's way through or is it more likely that this is a recently eaten feather because of a lack of dry food?

I have the same problem with one of my coonie neuters,he has persistent vomiting and very loose stools if not kept on a sensitive food diet.As I have 8 cat's in the house it's easier to feed them all on the same diet (with the exception of the kittens). I use royal canin sensible (dry) and feed mostly a raw or chicken & rice otherwise.I find the raw reduces the stool frquency too.

Oh poor Dicky it's bad enough having a runny bum without the washing after too......

I have a gross runny bum tale so if you are about to eat look away......................

One morning last summer after they had been outside the day before Roxy had a really bad runny bum, there was poop and bits of grass stuck to her pantaloons. I gloved up due to being pregnant and even though I had tried to get the OH to turn round to help he was already on his fav car park.........the M6!

I grabbed the wipes and then saw a bigger blade of grass so I pulled it thinking it was stuck to her leg, Roxy who was being sooo good while she was being wiped gave out a loud screech as I realised I was tugging a huge blade of grass from her bum.

My poor baby got lots of hugs after her ordeal

Could be either,I know when Shimba swallowed ribbon off of chockie box as a babe it was a few days coming through,I had just got to the point where I was sure it was all entwined in his intestines & he would have to come into work for investigations, got myself all worked up when that night hubby shouted come and take a look, gift wrapped poo had arrived,oh bliss, how sad we become when we own MC's......
So pleased it is just down to butt wash only, things must be improving !

I put the RC Kitten back down and they had chicken breast for lunch. Now just had a mix of 2:1 HiLife Kitten and Whiska Kitten. Will see what happens overnight. Going to go get more HiLife on Saturday (Morrisons are the cheapest and there is a branch near a friends...) and mix it with the Bozita that they like so much but might be too rich though :(

It's threads like these that make me feel that I'm adopting a baby rather than a cat!

Luckily, I'm great with babies/small children as I work with them regularly and generally love them. I told Dave I'd not want kids for a while if I got a cat. This was before I joined this forum :P
