    Poor baby boy

my brown tabby has had diarrhea for the last couple of days ...bless him think he got completely fed up of me checking his tail end every time he went anywhere and came back...just in case. Think he also got tired of being carted up to the shower and haveing his nether regions and paws washed twice a day ....have now starved him for 24 hours ...which has proved difficult since he and my red are joined at the hip ....and now have given poached fish and rice for their tea....now am just waiting to see if there is any reaction.......off to the vets tomorrow if this doesnt work ...dont think its a bug as would have thought they would both be ill if it was and he seems the same clod hopper as always ....can only put it down to a food change even tho i did do it gradually ahhh well fingers crossed

It would be very handy having a product called Pro Kolin in your animal meddy box,it just helps back up the 24hr starvation if it is just a straight forward tummy upset & nothing really serious,I have a big bottle of the old fashioned Kaolin type product with my lot but you would be ok with just a tube of the other, you can get it straight off the shelf. Good luck hope there is no repercussions from the fish & rice bless him, another bottom wash just might be a srep too far....x

Good luck at the vets. Hope it's nothing serious. When our guy had diarrhea I gave him plain cooked ground chicken for 3-4 days. His poo firmed up so I slowly reintroduced his cat food back into his life. Once he was on his food fully he got diarrhea again. So I switched brands. I started with the ground chicken again and then slowly reintroduced the new food. He seems to be ok now.

Most vets, just off the shelf, even Amazon sell it plus a lot of the vet pet sites, just give it a quick google,it is in a syringe with graduations for the weight, easy to use & most people find it easy to give,I have a bottle of Kaogel VP,the older version.....! One cat or more I think it is one of those things handy to have just in case...x

I'm in the same predicament with mine at the moment - started with Moonlight on Sat (in the shower twice/tail checked every time I catch her in the tray), and Shadow started yesterday! Touch wood Sunshine is ok at the mo - although I'm guessing it's a bug which means he'll get it too :-( We use prokolin and also Hills I/D food from the vets. Trouble is they're spitting out the prokolin at the mo....! We get prokolin from the vets and on the net - really easy to get

    Oh dear, poor baby. :(
El Monto used to be a squishy pooper for the first 10 months or so... we had to clean his breeches frequently too. It wasn't nice, not for him and not for us.
I hope things get better for your little guy soon.
