Worried about Toby
Hi everyone,
Im worried about Toby, as some of you may know he had sneezing fits every now and again. Well they are happening every day lately and the vet keeps brushing it off.
So ive been trying and trying to get a video and try and let you and the vets see what im on about, but by time i get my phone and hit record its over.
To describe what happens, he'll sneeze once, then sneeze again and again, start freaking out at his nose then a dried snot will fly out about 1-2cms in length. then he's fine.
Ive changed litter from clay, to clumping to wood. all with no effect. Ive taken out biscuits and changed food. All to no effect
H.E.L.P please has anyone ever had this before????

Could he have something stuck up the back of his nose,it sounds as if the sneezing perhaps moves it & gives him relief for a while & then perhaps it drops back into place & it all starts again. The fact that he has snot fly out even though dry makes you think there is something annoying him, its not natural bless him so if you can't get to the bottom of it try & see another vet who will take it serious. If he is allergic to something though it can be weeks rather than days before you notice a difference...x

I agree with Jackie, that's the first thing i thought of as I read your post too. Could be something as simple as a tiny piece of cotton stuck up there.
Especially with the dried snot, it sounds like the mucus is building up on the foreign object and every so often it gets too much, hence the sneezing fit to clear it out.
Insist on the vet checking, although sometimes they have to sedate the cats to have a proper look up there.
