Out of curiosity...panelukopenia
Has anyone here had any experience with this? Don't worry, both of my babies are up to date on all vaccines and healthy as can be. But before I had these two I had a sweet little baby girl who was 10 weeks old and euthanized by an emergency vet. I was basically told "this kitten has an incurable untreatable condition and is going to die, Ill let you say your good byes." Id never heard of this, and had to assume the vet knew best ( we were not at home, and it was a weekend....emergency vet in a rural county of a different state who I did not know. )but after doing some of my own reading...Im just not sure what to think. Point is I don't know that my little mina had this disease, and was just curious if anyone else has seen this? To this day I can't think about my sweet baby kitty or what happened with out breaking down in tears. That said, thats all I care to post at the moment. Ill go into more details about the whole situation a little later.

Did the vet say what the condition was? Where did you get the kitten? Vets can do pretty amazing things these days. hmm

OOPS, thats my bad. I should have been more specific. The vet told me that she had feline panelukopenia. The kitten was adopted from a woman who told me she took them in from a neighbor.

From what I've read its somewhat terrifying :( But I'm not entirely sure my little girl had it. Just wondering if anyone here has had any first hand experience with it. Never read the wiki oddly enough, might have been best to start there :p
