    hairball???

    my cats are both on wet and dry food with hairball control in it! meeka last night had a little cough (she sounded like a little child bless) and this morning i awoke to something on my kitchen floor which i can only describe as a mucosey hairball??? tmi..anybody else experience this as its a first for me and now im a little worried and puzzled is it normal?

    Hi
    Yes it normal to bring hairballs up my cat does, you can also buy a liquid from the vets, I just brush my cat and get as much fur as i can and give the hairball control biscs

    Hairballs are not that unusual, particularly at times of the year when they are shedding. One of our girls does one maybe once a month on average. Some never have them.

    'Dustin' was our long hair silver tabby Chinchilla and, for sixteen years on and off, he used to eat grass from around the house which made him vomit ingested hair.     Lucius coughed up his first hairball the other morning, and I was scared as he was making an awful noise. But of course as soon as it was out he just carried on as if nothing was happening.

    They are such wierd things!
