Hip Dysplacia
Ello everyone long time no see but life has been somewhat hetic here, anyway long story short Tango was in today for x-rays which have shown him to have bad HD in both hips his left being worse than his right, waiting to hear from our vet when she has had words with the orthapedic vet about ops but in the mean time I'm wondering if ops at his age is such a good idea, he's just turned 2yrs old poor paws

What were your options? when did you notice that Tango might have a problem? What did you decide to do? How is he? Sorry for so many questions.

Sorry Kim forgot to up-date the thread
Tango started limping when he was about 18-20 months old on & off but we put it down to his "I can fly" antics at first, then it was a case of which leg is he limping on, took him to the vets & was given the magic metacam, no better then back for x-rays. He had a Femoral Head and Neck Excision operation on his left side in January & has been 100% better since, he did start limping again a couple of months ago so was x-rayed again as his right hip had'nt looked to clever on the last one, however his right hip looks much better than it did & there were no signs of damage to his left or his lower back so probably was "I can fly" antics this time
