ooooh hopefully you have found the heart of the problem, and changing the litter will do the trick... I am no expert but I would have thought that antibiotics should have already done the trick? I am surprised they haven't...

I picked up more meds today and told the vet tech that it seemed like they weren't working yet. Apparently it can take up to three weeks on this kind of antibiotic to clear severe urinary infections. They said if he is still crying when he pees in a few days to bring him in for a cortisone shot, it will help the inflammation and pain.

I think someone might be feeling better! Merlin had some "crazy time" last night and chased DH up the stairs, tail flickering and eyes wide!! Today his appetite was voracious and he had a whole big can of cat food in addition to the beef stew I made for dinner. And best of all? No pee accidents today...Lets go Merlin!!!
