Thread: Rescue cat was very happy & now so quiet...please help

Hello! Congrats on your rescue! I recently did the same with my cat, Hermes Give your cat time and space. It is a lot to adjust to a new home. When they are poking around talk softly to him/her and make them feel as welcome as you can. Make sure they have a place they can hide. It is now three weeks that I have had Hermes and he still like to hide sometimes. When your cat is settled in, you will notice him/her come out of their shell. Be fore warned. If it is a Maine Coon, enjoy the silence while it last lol.
