Hi Everyone.
Thankyou so much for your kind messages of support, it means a lot.
Earlier on this morning I had to rush Bear back to the veterinary hospital as she collapsed when we tried to get her to walk. No matter how many times we tried to get her on her feet she just kept falling back down. This is all after last night being told that she would perk up once given the antibiotics.
I was told to expect a phone call a few hours after she had been admitted, and true to their word I received the dreaded phonecall. She has acute kidney failure and is not likely to make it through the night tonight and as I type now have just had another phone call to update me and confirm she is not responding to treatment.
I can't stop crying stupidly, yet somehow me posting this feels right as you have all been great in the short space of time that I have been on the forum.
Regards
Jo x

Oh Jo I'm so sorry - I can't imagine how you must be feeling now.
Do they know what has caused it at all? Not that it makes it any better but at least you will know.
Poor little thing - fingers crossed for some good news xx

Hi Everyone
Thankyou so much for sending us your best wishes.
It is with a heavy heart that I am posting this morning, because I am about to make a horrible journey to say my last goodbyes to Bear before she goes to cross the rainbow bridge. She deterioated in the night so now it is the kindest thing to do, to stop her suffering.
I cannot stop crying and it hurts so much. I know I will get over it eventually, but the next few days are going to be hard.
Thankyou all again. I hope my next post will be of a happier topic.

Hi Jo
I am so sorry to hear that there is nothing more than can do for Bear. You must be absolutely heartbroken but at least you can go and say goodbye to her and know that at least she won't be suffering any more.
Sending huge hugs to you all

Hi Jo,so sorry to read about Bear, tears are being shed for you all at this very sad time,it is just so lovely that you will be able to be with her at the end & I think it is the one great compliment we can give our trusted & loved friend.Rest assured you know there will be a lot of people out here thinking of you in the days to come.
Sleep well little one & enjoy pain free fun over at Rainbow Bridge.
