Thread: Anxious – Minnie has her op tomorrow

Tomorrow morning we’re finally taking little Minnie to the vet to be spayed. I say finally because we decided to wait a bit as she is on the small side. She’s over 7 months now and only weighs a little over 3.5 kilos. But the vet said we shouldn’t wait much longer if we don’t want a screaming cat on our hands.

We had Tatja and Monty spayed and neutered simultaneously at 6.5 and 5.5 months respectively. But both were big and bouncy; Minnie looks like a wee kitty in comparison (which she’s not of course, she’s the size of a moggy her age).

So once again there are butterflies in my stomach. Feeling ever so guilty because she won’t get her bed-time shrimp tonight. And because she’ll be left at the vet’s … she’s definitely not one to be on her own and will probably be crying all the time, poor little tyke.

Tomorrow I’ll prepare the bedroom, with a litter tray and a feeding dish and some of her playthings. After we’ve collected her I’ll lock myself (and my laptop) in with her so she can have some peace & quiet.

I wish it was tomorrow evening already...
