Is my little boy stressed out?
Hello Coonie lovers!
Mufasa keeps biting his leg, Not hurting himself, but just nibbling on his leg. Normally when i stroke his belly. I don't understand why he does this, He has no reason to be stressed, He does not have fleas, he is eating well, going to the toilet is fine.
There is often kids in the house, they pick him up and i don't think he likes it much, But it doesn't seem to really bother him too much. I'm not too worried about it because he is not hurting himself
Anyone else's kitty do this?

Sure it isn't him cleaning himself. He's definatley biting. But the thing is, when i stroke his belly, he does it. Not just when the kids are around. + he loves it when i pick him up. So i really can't understand it. Maybe it's just a harmless habit. Who knows.

I find that stroking Sylvie stimulates him to clean himself and he does seem to use a kind of nibbling action on his feet and between his toes! He definitely just seems to be giving himself a good clean though. Sylvie is the first cat I've owned who likes a belly rub- my other cats used to almost have a reflex action against it and would start kicking with their back legs! Maybe it's some kind of weird reflex?

Hi
My domestic cat "Bit" who sadly passed away last year at nearly 18 years old used to always chew on her front paw if you scratched the end of her back. She did it all her life and it was funny sometimes because if you scratched she chewed and as soon as you stopped she stopped, then if you scratched again she did it again - it never bothered her and it seemed to be a reflex action because she would stop whatever she was doing to chew and then resume straight away. I never worried about it and no hair ever was moved!!
