So very sorry, these decisions are so hard but when the time comes at least we can show our love by allowing our friends go to the Rainbow bridge.

It brought tears to my eyes. Her picture reminded me of my first cat (Siberian) that I lost several years ago; they shared the same coat color.
This kitty opened your hearts to Maincoons. She had a special role to play in your lives and fulfilled her goal completely. May her soul always be in heaven, with other great kitties who passed away but always be remembered.

I'm reading this thread with tears in my eyes, so very sorry Jackie. What a special creature she was, as it was down to her that you ended up with 5 more MCs - more than most! She did a really good job on you there! What a lovely picture you have posted too. Sometimes the cats that have given you the most bother and sleepless nights are the ones you miss the most.
Whenever we have lost a most beloved cat, we find the best healer is to look for a new family member straight away. I know this is not for everyone, and I hope I am not being insensitive by suggesting it. We always feel, well, there's a vacancy at the inn, let's fill it! Larry and Monty have been absolutely marvellous in helping us feel better after Bob's passing - new, young life in the house, in bucketfuls! Whatever you decide Jackie, our thoughts are with you xxx
