Hi, I have only just come across the forum so am new today.
I have a four year old pure white Maine coon girl. Her companion, our little moggy, recently died and since then she seems to be pining. They were always very active, chasing each other and playing, but now she spends hours just lying in her basket. I am very reluctant to get a kitten so am looking for an adult cat to keep her company. So if anyone knows of an adult Main Coon available in the Midlands area I would be very gratefull. Snoo, my female, was a retired queen, and was very difficult when we first got her, but now she is the most affectionate cat I`ve ever known. So I`m not averse to another retiree.
Any help or advise would be appreciated.Last edited by wickerman; 3rd January 2011 at 05:00 PM.

Hi Wickerman sorry to hear that your Moggy cat has gone to the Rainbow bridge.
You are most welcome to the forum where there is lots of help and good advice. As I live in Ireland I am unable to suggest any contacts for you hopefully someone will have a suggestion.
Please post a picture of your MC so we can 'meet' him.

What a beauty! May be introducing a little kitten is not such a bad idea?
Your beautiful cat would be a good adoptive mother, and her grief would sink in everyday care of a little one.

She possibly could make a good adoptive mother. But I worry she is a little boistrous. Her favorite game used to be hide on a chair and when Bootsie passed below, to jump on top of her!! Bootsie was tiny and disapeared under the mass of a MC. Before Bootsie died they were always either chasing each other or play fighting. We have a really long house and one would come tearing through chased by the other, then reverse and the chased cat would be the chaser!
When Bootsie, our little moggie became ill, Snoo went into guardian mode. She slept with her in her basket with her and licked her clean when she could no longer look after herself, it was heartbreaking to watch

Many thanks to every one who got in touch. I am now the proud owner of 2 more fantastic cats. Lunaris Mama Mia a shy black solid tortie with white and Kagoza Orpheus an incredibly laid back dark silver mackerel tabby. Many many thanks to Jean and Ron at Lunaris for trusting us with her precious pussy cats.
Both settling in really well, I will post some pics as soon as I can.

Congtatulations!
What a beautiful combination of colors in all three of them. Did boisterous cat behave well with newcomers? Can't wait to see pictures.
