Hey Candes, that is sooooo true! My OH used to suffer terribly with grouchiness and short temper, he tends to get very het up about modern life, like the 'grumpy old men' on the TV show. But wow, what a difference a Lagg makes. Now I just say, 'why don't you have a word with Laggs', and boy, does it work! Suddenly the OH goes all gooey and starts talking nonsense...and relaxes! See how owning an MC enhances your life. It is very rare that Larry is unable to distract him by doing something funny.

You're definitely right there!
Many's a time when I've wandered in on Nige having a tete-a-tete with "his lad" about his day at work
Was laughing at him yesterday cos I just know that when he drives the monster to the vet next Wednesday he will be having a little man-to-man discussion about what fate awaits him!!!

Just catching up on this thread... oh my, how many wise words have been said!
Grumpy husbands touched by Maine Coon Magic … very familiar territory. Don’t get me started.
@Peter Galbavy: “Are we happy because we are MC people or are we MC people because we are happy ?”
Just look at it this way. The other day Tatja jumped from the scratching barrel with such force it tipped over, shattering two large Areca palms in their pots. Looking at the ravage, hubby and I shrugged and said: “Oh well, they’re big strong cats. It was to be expected.” We cleaned up the mess and started designing an extra-sturdy climbing ‘solution’ to replace the old barrel. (Hope to show some results soon.)
@Halcyon: I looooove them in the sleeves! To add to Peter’s comment… if they had sequins it would be like David Bowie in his Ziggy Stardust days.
@Rachel: Don’t mean to make you feel uneasy, but ‘no balls’ El Monto still keeps trying the hanky-panky with little Minnie. But then again he’s not the brightest of cats. Sweet but silly.Last edited by Antonia; 7th January 2011 at 07:36 PM.

Heheh… El Monto’s dad has a cushion like that. I’ve seen him using it shamelessly while visitors were sitting next to him on the sofa… say no more.

You have really made me chuckle tonight, although I must ask if the pain killers for your broken toe are affecting your mind... you've gone all Dr Seuss!
They look SOOO cute in those vests!! If OH played Rugby I'd try that with one of his next week when Wicca goes in!
Rach and Antonia - I think you have both demonstrated exactly why MC owners are such a happy bunch; if you can cope with your cat shagging your best soft furnishings, you can handle anything life throws at you!!
