Toilet training your cat?

Since Catlover says the tray is quite small I looked at the website a bit more thoroughly, and I would be astonished if our male MCs would be capable of using something the size of the Litter Kwitter. The cats they show in their videos seem to have to work to keep from falling in, and they are <half the size of our males. Are there any people here that have >20 lbs MCs that are successfully using the Litter Kwitter? I would love to see a video of how they manage. The website claims: "Cats are nimble creatures & navigating the toilet should be easy for them." Sorry, but large male MCs are definitely NOT what I would term nimble creatures.

Sorry, but I couldn't help but laughing. I'm sure it wasn't terribly funny at the time, though.

Just to let people know, the tip on the LitterKwitter website about filling your bath and sinks with water, to stop them being used as a littertray does not work for MCs!!!

I am training Iggie and Ted at the moment and we are on the amber stage (medium sized hole). The boys are quite happy to jump up to pee, but the battle of wills regarding their number twos is killing me. Last night, after chasing the little devils for two hours, after begging, cajouling, bribing.... I gave up and went to bed, filling up the bath and sinks with a few centimeters of cold water.

Well, I woke up this morning to two lots of cat poo floating in the bath and a soaking wet bathroom floor!!!

It's only been two weeks since we started, so I am not giving up hope yet, but God they must hate the thing, if they're willing to stand in an inch of cold water to poo rather than use it!

I was planning on leaving the main litter tray in place, what with 3 of them. Then, they can choose to move onto the rings as and when, perhaps with some sort of inducements... But that's in the future, they need to grow a month or two yet :D

We are in week 3 now i think. We leave the bath filled with water as i thought Pads and Phoebe might not mind a few inches! Both doing great still, no accidents and i don't think that they mind that the tray is small as most of their body is off of the litter tray in any case.

I cant wait to move to the next stage and i hope hope hope that it goes as well as stage 1.

Oh dear Helen, I must have missed this when you posted it! I'm definitely going back to the red stage for a while!!
