Toilet training your cat?
After seeing the difference in how much cat litter we are using now with the mc in the household, I am considering taking out stock in cat litter companies. Has anyone trained their cat to use the toilet?? Have been reading about it, yet to attempt it. He is so smart I think we might be able to do it...???

Hello. We are in week 1 of using the Litter Kwitter
Litter Kwitter - The Original Cat Toilet Training Kit
There are mixed reviews about this with varying degrees of success. I figure that both of our kitties are so young they might take to it quickly. We get through a lot of litter at the moment too!!

I have one of these, but no kitties yet. I'll start them on it in a few weeks/months. If two out of three use it then great!

I found that, by switching to a clumping litter (NOT the clay type!) that I go through much less litter. I clean it daily.
After reading Sophie Cat | The cutest cat in the World! (that woman has the patience of Job!), I decided to not even try. If you do decide to try it, I wish you success -- and look forward to reading about your progress.

My boy, Enzo, was toilet trained using Litter Kwitter at 6 months old He will be 2 this year and is still doing great! Definitely recommended! There will be points where you want to rip your hair out and give up, but don't, these stages will pass... GOOD LUCK!

This is soo funny! One of our cats also has a constant thirst for toilet bowl water, so we have to keep all our lids down. We have one enclosed litterbox for both cats. Once in a while they bat each other for the right to go there first. It doesn't happen often, otherwise we would have to buy a second litterbox.
Do the kitties who are toilet trained also flush it?

I have World's Best Cat Litter in the (relatively) smaller litter box and SWheat Scoop in the large litter box. I don't see much difference in performance, and since the SWheat Scoop is a lot less expensive, I won't buy any more WBCL.
I hand scoop. We have given up on the LitterMaid after having two machines go bad (1st stopped running, 2nd wouldn't stop running).

I've not been patient enough to try this with MC Elvis & Coco, but I won't argue with Mingus...
