I need your help!!
Hi guys... I have just had some awful news re one of my girls! I sold an beautiful young queen to another, quite well known breeder. I have just this moment found out that she sold my girl to someone who was advertising for a breeding queen WITHOUT TELLING ME as you probably guess I am really upset about this.
The cat was sold with a contract that clearly stated that she should not be resold without my permission and if she was unwanted in the future she would come back home to me. It gets more complicated now as the person that brought her from the person I sold her to has subsiquently been divorced and asked if she could return the cat, she was told that the person I sold the girl to didn't want her back and I think she has been rehomed AGAIN!!!
I WANT MY CAT BACK.
She could be anywhere, obviously if she has finally found someone who loves her and will keep her forever, I wouldn't spoil her chance of happiness, but I need to know where she is.
Her registered name is ACOONAMATATA ECHO FEY, she is a smoke Tortie and has deep bronze eyes, she was born on 13th October 2008, her mother is Acoonamatata Galataea and her father is Gr Ch Acoonamatata Quiff Riley.
If anyone knows any information please contact me.

:sad2: Sorry I dont think I can help but realy hope you get her back. Can the GCCF help? x

That's awful - I think you now just have to retrace the steps....get the details from the original breeder of the breeder that she was sold on to. Once you have done that, you should be able to get a better idea of what has happened to her.....if she is registered with the GCCF then is there any way that they will tell you whose name she is currently in?
Can't believe that people ignore contracts so willingly

Below is a copy of the last email I received from the lady I sold Echo to... I find it hard to believe that she sold her pregnant. I clearly stated in my contract that she should be neutered if sold on and that I would always have the cat back. I will be contacting the GCCF but their email is out at the moment, but my guess is that I will never see her again. You always hope when you sell kittens/cats that they will have a long and happy life... it doesn't always seem to happen, trouble is that the people who let your babies down are often the ones who sound pefectly fine.
All I can remember is that she lived in a village near Cheltenham and think her name was possibly Sue (?)
I sold Echo with a mating to my stud boy as she happened to be calling and I knew that he was "clean" and knew his business, rather than Echo going to public stud she didnt know for her first mating (she had been in the pen next to my boy).
She produced 7 kittens, but all but 1 died over a period of (I think) a week. I couldnt believe this, but what had happened is that this lady had also bought another MC girl soon after Echo from some dodgy woman in the London area. This London girl turned out to have leukaemia, and had been in contact with Echo's kittens.......
I was very upset about this whole episode as you can imagine, but couldnt take Echo back as I was already cutting back, and she also potentially caused a risk to my cats as I wasnt sure what she had been in contact with since she left me. I had been happy with the lady who I sold her to, but you just can never tell what will happen as you well know. She was also very upset and in dispute with the London person about what had happened. Echo had been living in the house and well cared for, but for the unfortunate introduction of the infected cat. I suspect that all of this was instrumental in the husband scenario.
Thanks in advance for anyone who looks out for her, she was a really friendly girl and was only sold as we were living in the wild for a year and I'd decided to reduce the size of the cattery!

I need your help
What another sad tale,I do hope you can track her down & hopefully get her back, how do you stand legally here, did the first woman have any excuses as to why she didn't contact you, with all the members on the forum fingers crossed someone will be able to help, will note her name in my diary just in case when we are out at any shows someone might have heard of her....x

She seems to have conveiniently forgotten all about my seemly worthless contract, and didn't even appologize for not contacting me; she only got in touch because I seem to have come up on her facebook page... don't know how, cos I don't remember clicking on anything, but then I'm totally useless when it comes to facebook!

That shows guilt then doesn't it,I reckon at that point she thought you already knew what she had done & was trying to get in first,if you are on facebook is it something that you could post on there as well....?

Such a shame, I do hope you get to the bottom of it - even if it is just the peace of mind of knowing she has a good forever home x

Oh God!! I'm so so sorry. Such a horrible thing to find out. I agree I'd try to retrace steps, maybe google online breeders near the area she was sold to? Then maybe you'll find an online cattery page

Thats a good idea, and as soon as the GCCF can take emails I'm going to contact them, seems Echo's one kitten survived,, it is a male by registered parents so my guess is that the Cheltenham lady registered the kitten... she probably doesn't know anything about me. I have also found out that Echo had been recently immunized against Leukaemia, so she should be safe.

I need your help
One good bit of news to know she has recently been vaccinated against leukaemia so was protected while in the house with problems. That is one reason why I have mine done because you never know when they could be challenged with an infected cat, they need only get out once & have a fight with the local stray & what a nightmare you could end up with.
It will be great if we can read about a happy ending to this thread, even if it is as Racheal posted that she is now in a happy forever home, you also will be able to relax & hopefully keep in contact....x
