Usually 6am day in day out with schrodo... though it does mean we now go to bed earlier so swings and roundabouts really :smile:
If you dont get up he'll start being "naughty" which normally means he goes climbing and/or starts taking an active interest in your earphones you mistakenly forgot to hide the night before.
Haha I guess I have it good then :D you've got to love them , its like having a child but I wouldn't change him for the world :koolkat:
MC Bubba (RIP) used to hop up in my face in the morning and lick my eyelids if I was slow to get up and pour the kibbles.
Tough to ignore a hungry 25 pounder...
poor Bubba, i'm sorry for your loss but the memories will live on for ever with you , Rusty sticks his paws in my eyes and bites my face in a loving way :LOL:
Thats why my cats have their own bedroom,I luv them but not enough to have my sleep disturbed,they are even banned from having toys in there,they reckon cats sleep 20hrs of the day so they can sure as heck have seven hours of it while I am trying to do the same,daughter had house rules & thats one that they have to abide by,unless they are poorly then they are spoilt by being allowed to sleep with mum....
Civilized hours here, around 9 am. However they are usually still running around at 1:00 am in the morning, but then so am I, so that's ok!
It's a very civilised 7.30am MC alarm in our house, which is when I get up for work. So that's fine, except at the weekend when I want a lie-in, thanks. So I get up and nip them downstairs, and go back to bed for a snooze.
As for shutting them out of the bedroom, I couldn't. One of the best parts of the day is bedtime: they follow me upstairs, hang around in the bathroom, get in the bath and lick the cold tap, chase a few toys across the landing, and when I get into bed they're all up for a few rounds of the bedbugs game, and after that we all snuggle down.... Now they're a bit older they sleep through the night and don't often wake me up - not until 7.30am anyway!
I do try and shut Harry out, but he always manages to sneak in at some point. He has a routine that he never breaks. I usally go to bed first, put the tv on and he is follows me up and sits on the bed with me until he gets moved by hubby when he comes up. Then when I get up (it's always the woman isn't it) in the middle of the night, he sneeks back in, jumps up on my side of the bed, because he knows I won't move him and then gradually makes his way between us. Then when the alarm goes off he trotts off downstairs and waits in the kitchen for his food.
My kitties morning routine includes: 1) ripping into shreds and chewing on my favorite bedside magazines at 5-6 am.
2) tearing expensive silk comforter with their teeth;
3) opening and closing cabinets with their paws...
But the best Simon's cat trick my Anastasia did was sneezing on me and sprinkling her snot all over my face.
