Usually 6am day in day out with schrodo... though it does mean we now go to bed earlier so swings and roundabouts really
If you dont get up he'll start being "naughty" which normally means he goes climbing and/or starts taking an active interest in your earphones you mistakenly forgot to hide the night before.

MC Bubba (RIP) used to hop up in my face in the morning and lick my eyelids if I was slow to get up and pour the kibbles.
Tough to ignore a hungry 25 pounder...

Why does my cat wake me up
Thats why my cats have their own bedroom,I luv them but not enough to have my sleep disturbed, they are even banned from having toys in there, they reckon cats sleep 20hrs of the day so they can sure as heck have seven hours of it while I am trying to do the same, daughter had house rules & thats one that they have to abide by,unless they are poorly then they are spoilt by being allowed to sleep with mum....

Civilized hours here, around 9 am. However they are usually still running around at 1:00 am in the morning, but then so am I, so that's ok!

It's a very civilised 7.30am MC alarm in our house, which is when I get up for work. So that's fine, except at the weekend when I want a lie-in, thanks. So I get up and nip them downstairs, and go back to bed for a snooze.
As for shutting them out of the bedroom, I couldn't. One of the best parts of the day is bedtime: they follow me upstairs, hang around in the bathroom, get in the bath and lick the cold tap, chase a few toys across the landing, and when I get into bed they're all up for a few rounds of the bedbugs game, and after that we all snuggle down.... Now they're a bit older they sleep through the night and don't often wake me up - not until 7.30am anyway!
