Oh, you're naughty!!
We never go away for very long anyway (4/5 days max) but we're worried about not being able to find a good cattery...we don't want him to be stuck in a cage.

We've chosen our kitten
I don't think any cattery would be allowed to get away with using just cages now they are pretty strict on the rulings, ours have a lovely house with heating during the cold weather & a great pen to go out & play in,plenty of extra carboard boxes provided for my crew plus extra large cat trays out there. All you need to do is google the catteries in your area & go look at them. When daughter moved she found a cattery less than ten minutes away where the owner has maine coons & used to be a breeder, she actually had cats there that came from a breeder where two of mine come from, small world & no worries because that is someone who knows all about MC's.Ours have to go a lot more regular now for long weekends but I have no worries they put themselves into their pens, clients who come into work & have seen them down there when they take their own cats in always comment on what a happy bunch my lot are when they look through the window at them.

Dave is saying no to a second kitten! I knew he would but I'll not tell him it was you guys encouraging me :P
I don't have any experience of catteries. I'm from a rural part of Northern Ireland (okay, so most of it's rural!) and when mum went away we left our dog in kennels. She was a cavalier king charles spaniel so was quite small and also the favourite breed of the owners so she was allowed in their house with them a lot of the time. However, when I went there we were taken into a big warehouse type building and she was put in a pen by herself surrounded by loads of other barking dogs. I'd never leave Teddy somewhere like that! Okay so cats don't bark or anything lol but I just have this vision of catteries as being the same sort of thing. I think if I had to go away and leave him, which is terribly unlikely as if I go home, Dave would stay in Glasgow and vice versa, we'd just ask one of our more responsible friends to come and stay at our flat.
Teddy already has a human godmother and godfather...Haha! Apparently before he arrives there'll be a kitten shower (for the girls) and a wetting for the kitten's head (for the boys) so I'm sure there'd be plenty of volunteers!
