cat carrier recommendations?
I need a good carrier to take Simba on short trips to vet and groomer. Can anyone recommend a good one and what size. I have a large round wicker one but it's an awkward shape to carry, he is getting a bit cramped in it and I don't trust the door on it. Thanks.

Hi Karena,if you go into search & put cat carrier into the thread there is quite a lot of posts which hopefully could help your search, also I think there are sites mentioned where you can get them from,I always think whatever type you go for, plastic, wire, canvas etc if it has a top opening it can be to great advantage, none more so than if furry ever has an accident or poorly, its a lot easier getting them in & out through a top opening.
I have wire & canvas, some don't mind whichever they are in another one travels better in the wire one that is smaller than the canvas type,he seems to feel more secure without a lot of space round him, happy hunting....x

Both daughter & I have the same canvas carrier as Peter, both her MC's one of which is the big black Ozzy boy travel down very comfortably in it from the Welsh borders,I have had both Shimba & Welly together in ours but Shimba seems to feel safer in the wire carrier where he has the firmer sides & less room, weid things these cats....
Would luv to see Peter opening up his carrier & that troop marching out, what a sight that must be,I would think he will get them all in there for a good while yet but just thinking about the eventual weight they will add up to makes your eyes water,do they make shirts with one arm longer than the other to allow for the extra stretch that will take place...?

I agree with you I am sure they will be able to travel together still,I won't say a word to them,I am a bit mean at work though because when we have all the cats in for their ops & they are sitting all innocent in their pens I do luv to call out " Balls Away Boys",just can't help myself......
