Home, sweet home..
This is just my little story I need to share..
On march 28, my dear Felina somehow managed to get outside and of course she got lost before we noticed her absence.
We went out and looked for her for a while that night and went through the entire neighborhood a few times the next day. But there was no sight of her.
The next few days, we put up 'Missing' posters and talked to some of the kids around here who promised they'd look for her too. The boys downstairs handed out some pictures to their friends to help look.
A whole week went by and we still couldn't find her, I became more and more worried. She had never been outside before like this and it was pouring down. I contacted local Vets and animal shelters, send them descriptions, pictures and her chip ID, no one had seen her but promised to keep an eye out for her.
The next week, it was pouring down both night and day and I got sick. But my wonderful man kept going out in the rain, looking and calling for her.
Some people called and said they had seen her here and there but we still couldn't find her.
Until one day, exactly 3 weeks from the day she disappeared.
I was home alone when my phone rang, a lady had seen a cat matching the description in her garden the last couple of days along with the feral cat she feeds once in a while. She was quite sure it was my Felina, she had just been there but ran away before she could pick her up.
I quickly found a straw(her favorite plaything) and a salmon treat and ran down there. She was nowhere to be seen but I kept looking around.
When I came to the end of the street, walking by some bushes, I heard a very weak "Meaw... Meaw.."
She was sitting right there, between the bushes, looking at me, calling for me. She wasd all dirty, barely white anymore and as soon as she saw the straw, she slowly made her way towards me. I had to pick her up half way.
She was very thin and weak, cuddled up in my arms as we made our way back home.
When we came home, I checked her through to see if she was okay, she was very thin and dirty but otherwise just fine.
She let me bathe her, clean the dirt off, let me blow dry her a bit, brush her tangled fur and through it all, she just kept cuddling and kissing me.
Now we just need a vet check and to gain the lost weight..
I can't even begin to describe how worried I have been, mow much we all missed her and how happy we are that she is home..
I never really knew how deeply I cared for her until this..
