Trimming your kitteh
Okay so today I had to take the scissors to my coonies bum and snip out a big lump of poo. I was wondering, after I laughed so much I cried athim scooting around on his bum on carpet, should I be trimming his back end to avoid such disasters in future?

Trimming your kitten
There is another thread on here about this & the names that some people call "these bits of poo" had me in giggles as well, clinger ons was one I think.
I think some people trim round there but I never would,if it is just the occasional problem then I would do the same as you did today & continue to have a good laugh about it,if he is unfortunate enough to ever have a good old dirty bott then a quick dip in bath or shower sorts that one out as well....x

Dingleberries is another one........When it comes to a quick bottom wipe being needed I recomend Huggies, the sensitive ones of course:LOL:
They are nice and thick so no danger of your finger going through.

I like dingleberries! I tend to call them claggots...

Before we sussed that freyja's food was the cause of frequent cling ons, we took to trimming her trousers so there was less fur for the cling ons to cling to. Worked a treat. Once we got her food right, the cling ons stopped coming out to play, and freyja :satisfied:went back to wearing her trousers bushy!
One tip though, although it depends on whether you get lumpy cling ons or more soggy ones (I know, did you ever imagine poo being such a talked about subject when you decided to serve a mc?!?) - get a bottle of dry cat shampoo! We always have a bottle here, although haven't had to use it for months. It's great if it's a bit more severe than huggies can cope with, but not so bad that you need to don the gauntlets and head to the bathroom!

We have a bottle of pet head makes the bloomers smell a lot better after runny bum!!
To add to the grossness if it's runny bum I use a lice comb first then go in with the wipes:suprised:

Definitely some of our MCs have fur that grows so dense "back there" that it is inevitable they will have issues with stuck poop eventually, so we occasionally do trim them.
