Monty's Great Escape!
Having a lovely relaxing time in the garden yesterday, kitties running about having fun but behaving themselves. Turn our backs for a minute only to look back around to find Monty the Escapologist practising his tightrope skills along the ridge line of the shed roof!
Cue much panic, rattling of the Whiskas Temptations box and much hilarity for the neighbours - needless to say he's been grounded today! Gracie wasn't much use either, you could definitely see her sitting there with her usual disdainful look thinking "ooh, you'll be in trouble"

LOL, he had quite a few new names banded about in the time he was up there, most of which couldn't possibly be published here :D The worst bit was knowing the neighbours were watching and laughing - probably hysterical at how overly protective we both were that he was up there - he's a cat after all!

Oh sorry but I have to say how very pleased I am that somebody has joined Shimba in the "On top of the roof" club. However did you stay calm enough to take photos,
they are great,I ran around like a headless chicken screeching like a fishwife,I did allow hubby to put some trousers on before he came out but he was lucky to have been allowed even that privilege, took us a while to get him, thought my heart was going to stop & when he was safe wanted to kiss & cuddle him plus wring his neck & shake him all in one go.
Will you now be like us,having to add a bit to the security system to block off that means of escape....?
Good girl Gracie,of course girls don't climb do they, the boys could peek.....x

Love it Jackie, your description really made me chuckle - and is probably a more accurate record of my own reactions! Yep, the 'cat proof' fencing will be extended to include his escape routes this coming weekend - and he's grounded 'til then! So is Gracie, but that'll teach her to be an 'accessory' to Monty's crime
