Yet another ID My Cat thread
I registered some months back but haven't posted until now. So, hi.
My kids (teens) are rather cat-obsessed and they believe our cat might be part Maine Coon. So I thought I'd ask the experts here!
Stats on Fluffernutter:
35" from nose to end of tail
Weight around 17 lbs
Very smart
VERY fluffy :p
Here are some pics
interrupting my work:
He loves yogurt, LOL:
Sleeping on a dance costume:
32" TV, the only pic I have that offers scale!
A closeup:
For some reason he loves to try to get in boxes that are way too small for him:
At my mom's (he goes there with me every weekend):
My kids call this "sitting like a person" haha
Perfect kitty ;)

I do see a bit of Maine Coon in him. He's got that square muzzle. He also resembles a Turkish Van.

Yes, he does! My mom has a big vegetable basket he likes to sit in.
One thing I notice about him that's different from many other cats I've had is that he's SUPER social with people. He doesn't care much for squealing little kids (he hides), but he follows adults around in a very... dare I say it... dog-like manner.
I looked up Turkish Van, and WOW, he does look like that! I'll let my kids know. They have books with cat breeds, which is how they got on the Maine Coon thing in the first place. For a while they were wanting to adopt one, but I feel that we're a one-cat family at the moment.

Hi there, welcome to the forum. I'm no breed expert but whatever he is he looks like he's got a lot of personality - love the photo of him interrupting your work; he's got the expression of a cat that expects fuss (I recognise it as Wicca sports the same one whenever I get my laptop out!).
