LOL - In the second pic she is a "coon"tortionist. :)
She looks worn out! bless her.x
Ruby's nannie Rosie came round to see her this week, don't know who she was checking up on really her "babe"or me but this is one of the photos she manged to get of our liitle darling....!

Wow she's growing up........fantastic duster oops sorry tail xx
She really is beautiful. Her fur is wonderful and you keep her looking her absolute best x
Ruby has not only ended up nearly as long as her mum already {never had that cute podgey stage before stretching out again} she has also had a mini season at 5 months much to the joy of Wellynton Boots & she is now showing signs of another one so thats two littlies{don't think thats a real word but I like it} before six months of age so it is going to be off to work earlier than planned having definitely decided I wouldn't like to take up the breeders permission to breed from her. She is such a noisey little rug rat that I wouldn't wish her babes on anyone & can you even try to imagine what she would be like with a boyfriend, earplugs all round.....she is a little sweetie though I do luv her....!
She's turning into a looker alright... lovely colour and fascinating face. :)
Mummy is sitting here worrying because her little babe is at the vets, boss has promised she will be first on the list so I can pull "staff" rank & have her home about 2pm,its so long to wait though & all the others are looking for her, have told them to make the most of the peace & quiet but its not working for any of us at the moment....
Aww Jackie I bet youre sitting on your hands to stop yourself ringing to see how she is doing!! Has Miss P got her nurses outfit out ready?? xx
Oh bless, always an anxious time, but don't worry she'll be back home harrassing you before you know it! xxx
On the plus side, Jackie, you will have a perfect excuse to pamper and spoil her for the rest of the day. :)
Hope she is now home and being spoilt xx
Not a very good picture of her war wound but will try again in a day or two as being midline this is the only place she is likely to get any sympathy ,its really very small & neat although it doesn't look like it on here & as our vets do subcutanous suturing no stitches to pull at or have to go back & have removed, got to be a bonus.Gave up trying to stop her from scrapping at the patio door so let her out for a quick wander to see the others {daren't let them out of the pen yet}& after a little word from Shimba she has come back in & settled down, fish on the menu for her tonight.
I am still feeling so guilty especially as all she is doing is purring like a steam engine & her weight today was a modest 4kg.....bless her.

Such a little neat wound! And her tail ... wow, that is magnificat
Good to see her already wandering about cheerfully. Enjoy your fish, sweetie. And your tail is fab indeed!
So glad she's still got her loud and special purr. Shimba will look after her x
Ok Ruby Blue has let us down, after checking her all day & everything fine with her tum we went out for a couple of hours last night & came home to find all happy looking cats, went to get their supper & up ended a certain girl again for inspection & got the shock of my life,a great big gaping hole so at 11.30pm & in thick fog off we had to go to the OOH vets & there she had to stay to be knocked out & re stitched, think it could have been down to her & Welly having a bit of rough playtime but whatever the cause she will not be getting any treats until she has paid mummy back, big time....... Loved having to wait for phone call that all was ok,put clocks on an hour & then be awake early for vet to phone before going off duty & then trip to collect her,not much rest last night.
Now trying to make sure she plays only on her own, have got the cage back in which she hates but bedtime will have to be spent in it & fingers crossed, the vet has done a double row of sutures this time but if it happens again will go along with OH's idea, we pass her breeders on the way back from the OOH surgery so we will leave her on the doorstep ring the bell & run,not joking,ok perhaps we are was so quiet with only five of them first thing....!
Oh poor you Jackie, what a shock, good thing you checked eh. What is she like worrying you like that!
She will have to 'do her time' in the cage poor love, it's for her own good.
Must say we have threatened to take gorgeous Herb 'back to the shop' on a few occasions, most recent of which was a weeing on the floor episode when there was a perfectly good litter box nearby and yes he has been neutered so no excuses. Seem to have sorted that one now by providing a super-duper new litter box and by consistently blocking his access to that particular corner of the living room, oh yes, not good at all....but he's turning into a proper great big cuddle-monkey so all is (almost) forgiven!!
Ohhh... what a scare she gave you! Hope she hasn't been in pain, but then again they often won't show it will they? Did they give her a nice sturdy embroidery job that won't come loose?
I remember our vet used the soluble stitches on Tatja, but she still managed to pull some out before everything had properly dissolved and she had a nasty red patch on her belly. Luckily she didn't need additional stitches.
Such naughty torties they are!
Hope she's ok and behaving herself now - what a scare! I keep hearing about 'naughty torties' and wondering why I didn't find that out before getting our 2 tortie girls - I too have 'threatened' them with going back to the breeder (I'll even pay) - doesn't seem to make a difference - do you think they think I'm joking
They think you are joking but....!
Blimey two nortie torties is a bit like giving yourself a "sentence" but oh what fun,my little tortie has now reacted to the suture material so has a great big lump there now,I phoned work to see if it was ok to leave her until her post op tomorrow & when boss said is she happy I put her near the phone, purr, purr & more purrs, think she told him I feel fine thank you its only mum who keeps getting worried, have warned her gran today though that perhaps I would like to exchange her for a red girl in the latest litter....
Wouldn't really my little tortie is going nowhere, nortie or not.
Ruby, you get those antibiotics down the hatch and Shimba, stay away from Ruby x
One absolute neurotic mother here, two more visits to work last one tea time yesterday when I looked at her tum & found it was larger & lumpier than ever & she didn't want to play, sure she had herniated but no only reacting even stronger to the sutures in the muscle layer, think the boss is getting as twitchy as me I am sure he dreads it when he sees my name pop up on the extras list, but as he always says to clients post ops are free any worries just bring them back for me to check so have made appts in advance for Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday.........no only joking but Ruby Ruby what are you doing to me.....!
Oh dear Ruby - what are you doing to your poor ole Mum ... thanks heavens it's a reaction as opposed to a hernia :sad2: Hugs and purrs from the furries to you Ruby, hope you feel loads better very soon xx
Owww... it never rains but it pours doesn't it? Keeping my fingers crossed!
Reaction all gone,tummy flat,hair growing back { & I don't just mean Ruby's,hair that is not flat tum}....
Although she is now 7 months & weighing a moderate 4.40kg/9.70lbs she still has to have her evening ear wash done by bruv Shims but she is allowed to become mummys little helper in the mornings, even if I intend to get the vacuum cleaner into their room I have to "brush"up first just for her to do her bit....

Very nice you have a cat! :)
So glad to hear she's well again. Lovely photos too. :)
Oh Ruby Blue, what a fantastic helper you make. Never seen anyone or thing cling so tightly to a brush. And so photogenic xx
