He is called Casper which will be shortened to Cassie ..... I just need a pure white and a black smoke now :)

Thank you :) Casper needs a lot of love and care as you can tell from picture he is very young - too young to be away from Mum but circumstances mean this will be the case. I was making up a bed for him in among Buddy's teddy's and pillows and heard this really delicate sweet snore and there he is ..... sprawled on his back with his tiny paws in the air .......... on MY pillow!!! I put down a bowl of steamed chicken and rice for him earlier and he tried to gulp it all ... had to slowly hand feed him and his little tummy swelled. Its not every day I will, or admit to tickling a cats nether regions in a litter box but I did! I now have to bleach the wall but he will learn. While I'm typing this Buddy has curled cup around him and has put a large paw around him and I just got growled at!! I think I may be on the sofa tonight xxx

But do tell us more about little Casper, what a cutie, and so young! How many weeks old, and how did you hear about him? What happened to his mother?? How wonderful that Buddy has really taken to him, and is playing the big protective brother.

I also absolutely adore the colour :smile: Finn is registered as being a cream blotched tabby, but he has shades of clotted cream - it so depends on the light ... sometimes he's got a real 'ginger' tinge and at other times he looks almost white. Whatever the colour I love them all :smile: I must remember to take my medication too!!

We were ringing around foster carers when suddenly we couldn't find Casper :O He had got into the pocket of my hoodie and was asleep, purring very gently. Those heart strings are terrible when they are pulled and I kinda bought him home. The 2 girls have been fostered; one is a forever home if she makes it. It is very very early days with these babies and nothing is certain re their future. Fay has been told of a female cat who's kittens were still born and she is bringing her round later to see if Casper will latch on to her as she is producing lots of milk. The owner is more than happy to lend me her cat if it can help save this boys life. Other than that; I'm on 2 hourly feeds day and night. I will keep you all up to date on Casper and will post some pictures very soon.
Also, does anyone know of a flea treatment that is safe to use on a kitten of this age? I used to get the syrup from PAH but they haven't got it anymore :( xxx

The wormer was discontinued a while ago, have you looked on NOAH's site for alternatives??

What a sad story Catslave, although I'm sure it's all too common. Good for you for stepping in and helping little Casper. I bet it's exhausting!

UPDATE!!! Mummy cat took to feeding the kittens straight away and really is a loving Mum. Unfortunately she didn't take very well to being away from home or being moved about around the kittens :( So, sadly, to give the kittens the best possible chance in life Mummy cat has gone home and taken all 3 kittens with her. They are starting to thrive and look healthy :) and I will admit I really will appreciate a full nights sleep tonight without my alarm going off every 2 ho
Sadly I now have a lost 4? month old black moggy in my bathroom who has been crying on the road for the last week or so :9 I need to get that sucker tattoo removed from my forehead. This lil baby is being picked up by a Sanctuary in the morning. Buddy is terrified of this little scrap who hissed at him and he legged it under my bed and has so far refused to move (Buddy that is) Have turned leccy blanket on so think I will get him out with the help of some duck and cheese Dreamies xxx

Well that really is good news for the kittens, they have their very own foster mum and I'm sure they'll have the best chance with her.
But you must be sad to see little Casper go...

Have only just caught up on this thread,boy a lot has been happening in a short while.With the flea problem it was a shame the vet didn't just give all the babes a quick squirt of Frontline,it is non systemic,dries quickly & can be used on pups & kittens from 2 days old so the fact that fleas can be very detrimental to a babes wellbeing it would have soon sorted the problem for you,we very often at work take an animal into another room & spray them for the owners...
This weather is not doing any favours to our feline friends is it by keeping warm there are a lot more late feral litters around bless them.
