Awkward kitten stage
I have a deposit on a male Maine coon kitten. My breeder sends me pictures every week. He is a beautiful little red tabby. He is 7 weeks now and in some of the recent pictures he looks weird... Head too small , ears too big, body enormous. Is this normal? Will everything come together in the end or is he going to be a funny looking little pin head?

MCC grow their ears and paws 1st then the rest of the cat has to catch up, make for some funny moments when kitty is trying to get a handle on his growing body.
Just give them all the food they'll eat and lots of pets.

Dee4st he looks absolutely adorable :-)
My boys were also awkward, especially when they were about 6 months ... Finn (for some reason best known to himself!) decided one day that he'd like to have a swim so he raced across the garden and took a flying leap right into the middle of the pool. Frantic Mum was of course having a heart attack, but he was straight out the side and racing towards the house looking quite astonished... he either couldn't stop in time or forgot the pool was there! Marco did very similar, except he tried hard to stop and ended up sliding in on his side, legs in the air. It was like something out of a Disney film! Amazingly enough both of the boys' heads/ears were totally dry, it was just their bodies that got wet ... no idea how they managed that, they both landed with an almighty splash!

Agree with everyone else he is the most adorable pinhead I've seen & he looks as if he has a super chunky body too & he is one of my most favourite colours & he looks as if he is a mirror image of my Bruce & I would luv to cuddle & kiss him & I would have no worries about him at all &....xxxx
PS & will look forward to seeing more photos of him.

He is quite a stunner, and looking perfectly normal to me. I agree completely with all the comments above, don't worry.

Agree with all the above. While the album below is "only" from 13 weeks old, check out some of the ears! (I have earlier shots when I visited the breeder, look at my profile on here for some)

PS Why only one? You want at least two MCs - more play, more fun, less boredom

Yup, that is a normal, good-looking MC kitten.
Oh, and Peter's right... MCs love company.

He's a handsome guy, no worries about his looks. He's very adorable.
Everytime I see a red boy, just makes me wanna add to my brood. I know my breeder would be happy, not my wallet though.
Love those pictures, Peter! Thanks for sharing.
