There is a Cats Protection in Ellon and i have given them a phone, they have agreed to go and check the conditions of the kittens, and also the other animals she owns.

He is a lovely kitten, and has settled in to the house well ( we have a GSD a Jack russell and a silver tabby.... oh and 2 human children lol), he already OWNS the room and has stolen all of our hearts.
Xmas tree is a firm favourite, all the baubles off of the bottom are scattered and the tinsel has to be reset every day

Oh and he sleeps on the bottom branches.

I will upload some more pictures as he grows

thank you for the warm welcome and
MERRY XMAS TO YOU ALL XX

You will love him anyway... no matter what breed he is... but with a bit of luck someone else will be stopped from breeding that is not taking care of their cats..... Enjoy him... and keep us posted with photos xx

    Hi Anne Marie, welcome!

Where I live there are a number of reasons why a kitten is sold without a pedigree. The obvious one being it’s not a pedigree kitty but a cross.
Another possible reason: the breeder is not a member of any cat fanciers’ association (who are responsible for giving out the pedigree papers). Perhaps she never applied for membership, perhaps she was thrown out for breaking the rules.

I think you did well by reporting this woman to the Cats Protection – it’s the least, and probably the only thing, you could have done.

Before we got our first Coonie I had been reading up on “how to choose your kitten” and knew what to look for when visiting a breeder. For instance: if the cats are kept in cages, turn around and walk out.
But I realise this can be awfully, awfully hard. Once you fall for the kitten you’re lost and you will want to rescue it. Sadly, this also keeps BYBs in business.

Anyway, your Toby certainly is a handsome little devil. And the fact he’s not shy or frightened is a very good sign. He’s obviously not too traumatised by his past experience. I look forward to seeing more of him on here.

    Take care,
    Anna
