When my Samantha was spay at 8 months they shaved her belly from chin to tail for a tiny incision.
It was winter and she was most unhappy about the chill, took several months to grow back.

It's still at the plucked chicken stage at the moment. Every night he comes to me and rolls over for a belly rub and unashamedly presents his little pink, hairless tummy for tickles and massage.... The boy has no shame!!!
