Neutering telephone call felt like call from Principal's Office
Neutering time was back in November for Whiskey. Now that the holidays are over I thought I'd share his story.
I dropped Whiskey off 1st thing in the morning. At noon the vet called to say surgery was over; Whiskey did well, and was recovering. I could pick him up after 5pm. At 2pm I got the dreaded phone call from the principal’s office (vet) to please come & pick up my boy. He was being disruptive in his class, opps I mean “cage”. They said they were afraid he’d hurt himself as he was chewing on the bars, digging & banging around in the cage, and meowing like crazy. I immediately drove over. I walked into the principal's (vet’s) office with tail between my legs as I felt so embarrassed that my child (cat) was misbehaving. The principal (vet) said Whiskey calmed down when they turned off the lights and put a towel over his cage so he couldn’t see anyone. They said take him home as he was doing great. They said he'll probably sleep a lot. Well they don’t know my son (kitty). He was running around playing with everything & anything as though nothing happened. It felt like he had early dismissal from school and was celebrating.
