Cool Starting to look more mature at 2 yrs

Yesterday evening, while El Monto was supervising me at work, I suddenly noticed something. He always had something of a ‘kittenish’ face with soft, rounded features. But that seems to be changing. His features are becoming more mature and angular. He is a little over 2 years old now, so with any luck he might grow into a regal and stern looking MC after all.
(I do hope he will keep his boyish charm though.)

MCC are slow to mature, but the boys always remain over grown kittens at heart.

Thanks for the reassurance... I don't want him to become a Grumpy Old Man.

Ooh, I don't know if El Monto can do regal and stern! There isn't another MC quite like him!
Love his great big grey ruff, he looks like he could take it off at night and hang it up to be aired.

Awww… he’d look so undignified with a scrawny nekkid neck like a Sphinxie, poor thing.

He is lovely & I reckon he will get a lot more sterner looking yet but I think its great fun when they have the mean look that frighten people until they realise underneath is a great big softie.... His smoke colours are just so strong luv him...x

Funny you should say that Jackie. A friend of ours who’s had MCs for much longer than we, said when he saw El Monto as a kitten: “That cat is going to frighten the sh!t out of people when he grows up.” At the time I didn’t believe him, but now I am inclined to think he might be right.

Monto is starting to remind me of his half-sister Macy (who is little Minnie’s mum). She is a black smoke too and has the face of a really vicious alleycat, lol. She’s had an amazing show career… took her less than a year to become a GIC. I think she simply scared the judges into awarding her all the prizes.

Yeah they're really scary until they open the mouth and a tiny chirp comes out.
I love the picture of Monty with the glowing eyes, I bet he's just a big Teddy Bear.

Hehe... at our place the chirps are more the girls' department. El Monto sounds either like a cooing pigeon or like a quacking duck, depending on what he's trying to say.
And you're right... despite the glowing eyes and evil grin he is a great big lovable wuss.
