Pictures of my New baby
I was trying to think up big burly names for him since he will be a big boy, but after seeing these pictures, I just melted inside. I just know he's gonna end up with a wimpy name like cupcake. Lol. I have pictures from every week of his life and I'm going to make a scrapbook. He is 3 weeks in these pictures I believe. It's getting harder to wait!

What a little sweetie but if you name him cupcake he will think he is a proper fairy.....
I think naming them is the fun part of becoming a new owner & the sooner you can give a name for the breeder to start calling them by better still as they soon get used to it four of ours came to us responding to their names which was great when there were others for them to fit in with,is he a mackerel pattern...?
Keep those pictures coming along so we can see him grow too,the time will soon go & it won't be long before you are having a fun time with "Cupcake".....x

Cup cake is indeed a good n cute name as he is now..but he will soon become a big cake as he belongs to the gentle giant family ...even then the name will be fine as he will not behave so matured as his size says then...

It's always fun choosing pet's names and I always find I end up calling them all sorts of nicknames. At the moment my favourite is to call Kenny and Eric "Mr E" and "Mr K" - the only thing is is that Mr E ends up sound like mystery!

We came up with a name for our MC boy before he arrived which was Tigger, and that's the name he's chipped with and registered at the vet under. However we found it difficult to gel with the name when he came to live with us, and ended up going back to square one which was "kitten". We still call him Kitten to this day, as although it is generic it feels right for him, and to him, as he comes to the call. Other than that he's our little soldier who goes out foraging or soldiering in the garden. These days Kitten responds to both names, we only ever refer to him as Tigger when we contact the vet. Hope you find a name you are both happy with Leona, Cupcake or otherwise. The naming process is all part of getting to know your MC's character! At least that's what I found x

We also named Dakota before we took him home. However, he is and will always be my "doodle-bug" - and he answers to both.

Mufasa came with his name and as some people who had never seen the Lion King kept calling him different things like, Mustafa or Mohammed, we shorten it to either Moofie or Fassa. I did have the name 'Wilberforce\Wilber' in my head, but the girls loved Mufasa so that is what he stayed! A good friend told me when I had the girls that children grow into their names, I guess it's the same with cats - so whatever you decide I'm sure it will suit him!

He's gorgeous. I used to love getting the kitten progress photos from the breeder. As to names we always try and have a link to their pedigree names. Mitch was the hardest to name as he is Starpaws Elegant Mess (a word play on Elliot Ness) We ended up reading the story of Al capone trying to find a suitable name. He didn't look like an Al or a Capone. There was a street called Michigan Avenue so he became Michigan shortened to Mitch. Keeps was easy from Starpaws Keepsake. Ally was also easy from Yaheska Alroy. Our blue boy who we lost last year was also difficult as he was Yaheska Zorian. It took us ages to come up with a name and in the end he became Finn as he came from Finnish lines.
