Diego the ratbag
I am new to this forum. I have a male mackeral tortie and white maine coon. He will be 2 in May and is the most beautiful boy. We love him to bits.
However he is a ratbag! he will try to take anything that is not nailed down. I am constantly finding stashes of pens, paper, lollies and whatever else takes his fancy. He even stole my mobile phone once and pinched lollies out of my handbag.
He also wakes me up about 4:30am every morning by crushing my chest and rubbing his face into mine - does anyone else get this level of affection.
There is no shortage of humour in our household with him around.
Are all boys ratbags or is it just mine?

I can attest to the fact that Diego is in fact a ratbag!!!! ( I know him). I am also interested in what other peoples males are like since mine is due to arrive in 4 weeks. My girl is quiet and doesnt pinch anything although she does lie on me in the early hours of the morning but not til about 6am.

Cory: Diego sounds very familiar!!!!
Our 4 month old male M.C "Winston" also wakes us up around 6.30 every morning by either pawing us gently or dancing on our heads. Depends on how devilish he is is is feeling on the morning
Last week he hid my glasses whilst I took a shower and I had to leave for work without them.
(I'm blind as a bat without them!). I found them the following day under the sofa.
Yesterday he took my "clock in card" for work out of my jeans pocket and batted it under the sofa.
I think he has a huge stash of stuff under the sofa

Well then - I feel better now.
Better start putting your stuff away Heather - sounds like you have a ratbag on the way.

Storvenn, my male MC, likes to do something similar to yours. At about 6am: Walk up and down my chest. If I ignore him, then he sticks his face VERY close to mine and meows loudly. If I choose to ignore him again, then he usually starts biting me gently on the wrist which gradually gets harder and harder...
Ive not managed to ignore him past that point yet :D
Once awake a translation of his meow & facial expression would be "Oh hi! Did I wake you?"

I LOL'd when I read all your stories.
Well Hank loves goes from room to room firstly pawing my kids as they sleep he likes to play 'catch' the feet under the duvets. The kids usually wake up in the morning with 'Mom, Hank was attacking me this morning! Look at my scratches!'.
The other morning while hubby and I were in bed he decided to squeeze himself between us and started licking hubby's ears. I also woke up with a feeling of being strangled only to find out that he was sitting flat out on my neck! He also loves playing with my necklace while Im just about to drift off to sleep. So I usually wake up swearing and screaming, which everyone seem to find funny!
He never fails to make me laugh with his 'naughtiness' I love MC's theyre sooo full of charachter.
So to your question... yes we also have a ratbag in our home.Add me on Facebook : Ria Brown

Our coonies are shut in the conservatory overnight or in the kitten room if they are pregnant or have babies. We learnt very quickly that we had no chance of getting any sleep at all with multiple giant cats running riot around the house!
I used to wake up sometimes to find Scarlett walking across the curtain pole in our bedroom to get from one wardrobe to another!
