A Bittersweet Show Day.....
Last Saturday we left home with a very heavy heart to attend the FB show at Moulton, our daughter had done a quick trip home to see her dog Millie who lived with her ex partner as she was very unwell & first instincts were to stay here with her but decided to give them quality time alone, with no camera as daughter had forgotten hers we set of saying whatever the cats do today it will be for Millie.... Were very chuffed to get both Shimba & Ruby nominated through to Best in Show where Shimba's good run came to an end but Ruby got Best in Show Junior catagory 2 & at the ripe old age of 10 months went on to win overall catagory 2 {Knocking out her dad also} & finished off by winning Best of the Best to become overall winner of the show.Tears in bucketfulls not only because we were so proud of her but knowing that at home things were very sad. Sorry the photos are so mismatched & in wrong order but it is with thanks to others that we have any at all,Shimba showing his stern face in one,Ruby being a tart with the judge but also being shown off wonderfully with her stewards, with mum on the winners podium {was an olympic themed show & very wonderful it was too}her awards were photgraphed next day for us by another friend & in the middle of it all our Millie enjoying her most favourite place a couple of years ago & who is now running pain free over at Rainbow Bridge....Ruby could have done no more for her favourite canine friend who she got to know for only a very short time...
A very very Bitersweet day for us all but one that won't be forgotten.

Oh Jackie, I can imagine you have very mixed feelings indeed! How sad to hear about Millie, she looked a really sweet dog.
I hope the show success of your furries is some comfort, and I heartily congratulate you on it. Well done Shimba and Ruby!

A bittersweet day indeed. Your stunning cats did you all proud and I've no doubt that Millie was watching from the bridge, taking it all in! Lovely pic of Millie too, she looks like such a sweet dog, and I know she'll be sorely missed. Take care x

Congratulations On your results with your MC's. Such a shame about the passing of your dog Millie. It's the hardest thing about pets when it's time to say goodbye.

I have just received this photo taken at the show of Shimba & his dad with the olympic torch {all the money taken was going towards research into an animal illness} still seems hard to realise that at the end of the day I was stood on the podium holding Ruby especially as I had refused to take part in the "photo shoot"with the torch, don't do photos.....!!!
