Office helper
Simba likes to be with me in the office when I'm working which has been 'fun' - he likes to hide under the smallest gap under my shelves and when I go to answer the phone he shoots his paw out and attacks my hand! He even managed to hang up on someone today - that was a hard one to explain Needless to say I didn't get much work done and will be working all evening instead as he is now asleep.

Our big male managed to knock a wired phone receiver off the hook (with his big rear feet presumably). The phone was on my home office desk and he likes to sleep there because it is near a window with bird feeders. He did this while I was away at work. Kept calling home and finding it was busy. Could not figure out who my wife was talking to for so long. Got pretty annoyed with her--until I got home and found she had not been on the phone! Needless to say, I moved the phone after that.
Recently, one of our girls has been very into getting on my lap. Every single time I sit down to work at home, she hops up in my lap and wants to cuddle and then sleep. Not very conducive to getting work done. I too have ended up doing work late at night to try to finish something as a result. Should move her off my lap, but she is so cute....

They are always so cute...
we had that problem with the phone once too... the cats had knocked it off the hook. Problem was we had a birthday party on at time and it was meant to be at a park but it was raining so we had it at home instead, but we couldn't figure out why no one was ringing to check where it was...

I have a similar new officer companion. Working during the day Hank has taken to sleeping on my desk, so I had to get a cat mat as well as a mouse mat.
