    Pirate behaviour

hi everyone - I have an issue which is actually a bit funny, I just would like to know if any of you has experienced it too...

As I said several times on the diverse threads, Neevie has changed a lot in her behaviour since she got spayed. I don't mind, I'm in love, it's alright with me.

One thing she does, though, is that she is very vocal in the morning but she'll only eat what she likes - her food tray still quite well stocked from the night before, but obviously it has to be fresh, and the boiled chicken has all disappeard. So she KINDLY requests some more.

My routine is : I go to the kitchen, open a pouch of Sheba, then pour myself a coffee. Her routine is: she sniffs at her fresh plate of Sheba, and starts following me around noisily asking for something more apetizing. (The Sheba usually ends up disappearing by magic during the morning though and I give her more during the day.)

Usually I give in and pour a spoonful of soured cream in a little dish, which she happily laps, and then we're friends again.

Yesterday morning I was in a morning daze so I just took my coffee and started walking towards the living room with the intent of letting myself fall in the closest armchair - that was the plan but Miss Kitty decided to transform into a sheep-dog and heard me back to the kitchen - in my legs, not letting me take one step in the wrong direction, till I was re-directed towards the fridge where I dutifully poured the much needed soured cream.

This morning, I decided to test it, see if it was a fluke - same thing happened - evil me, I decided to ignore the crafty herding, and actually managed to make a few steps towards the couch. That's when she all went Def-Con 3, from herding and meowing to (gentle) biting of my legs - and since I ignored her again the biting became a bit stronger. I decided to give in at that point, turn around and serve up the soured cream. I was then allowed couch-potatoing to my heart's content.

(Don't get me wrong, I don't normally allow her to bite, she usually goes in time out when she does. But since it was an experiment I decided it was fair play, plus she didn't really go at it very hard, just enough to say "hey, are you listening? I said turn around!"... )

Anyway - I am finding it very funny, but am I imagining things or are they more clever than we give them credit for when they want to be? do you have similar MC experiences?
