    Anything for the Boys

My husband and I made this cat tree for Buzz and Baxter a week after they came home. It's about 9 feet tall and has a toy drawer in the base and takes up a lot of space in the great room. I spent many hours drilling holes and glueing the foliage. The boys spend just as many hours batting it around and pulling it out! But as you all know - anything for our kitties. Next project; a small catio.

Wow talk about a work of art. It is beautiful and matches the room perfectly. I had to cover Whiskey's eyes so he wouldn't become jealous. Too late for me, I'm very jealous and I want one!

Wow! Thanks everyone. We are not really very handy. We just went step by step trying to think like rambunctious kitties and big cats. It turned out a bit larger than we had planned, but, oh well - it's sturdy. I saw similar trees online but no way would we pay US$1200.00! (What if they didn't like it or out grew it?) This tree cost around US$250.00 to make and about 96 hours (48 for my husband to build and 48 for me to decorate). I really love that Buzz and Baxter have so much kitty fun in it since we do not allow them outside. Hopefully, we will be able to create a "catio". We have a really small space for it. Ideas are welcome!!!
