Finally.....Winston visits his new vet for the first time!
Brought Winston to visit my local vet for the first time.
He was given a 20 minute general check up and is in the best of health.
He actually liked the vets and was rather curious about all the other animals.
He met an 18 year old British Blue Shorthair and a fab and absoutely huge mastiff dog!!!
He has been booked in to get neutered at the end of the month. We feel it's time as we have noticed that he has been more boisterous in the last week. The vet also said the time is right.
We will get him microchipped and his nails clipped on the same day so it's going be big day for him

That's good news, I think i'm going to do the same with Harry, hopefully the vet can sort his hernia out at the same time. Don't know whether he can do anything about his chewing though, yet again for the second time he has chewed through the house phone cable and through my mobile charger which is the second one he's done now !

Sounds like Winston will have a busy day! Simba has already been spayed and microchipped. His breeder said he was running around the same evening! Good luck for Winston.
Simba hasn't yet ever chewed any cables - thank goodness - I do have a mountain of toys to distract him though When the dogs were puppies I used to have a deterrent spray which worked well but with dogs a firm no often does the trick, cats are a little different though.
