We are entering the fourth month of litter kwitter training, we were doing so well on the orange ring, I decided to introduce the green ring. Well Ginger was very interested in the big hole and the water, but not enough to poo in that great big hole. She decided it would be easier to do her business in the bath tub, after a couple of these we went back to the orange ring and put two inches of water in the tub to discourage any further transgressions. So far the water had worked and we are back to the orange ring. I am going to try and put the prange ring on after she does her morning poo and see if she is down with peeing in that great big hole. Patience is a virtue and I have a ton of patience! I really want to get rid of the walnut litter it is turning my toilet brown and that is not attractive!

I am happy to announce I have started using the final ring! I put it on during the day, after she has her morning poo, I thin k she is less scared of peeing in the loo. I feel she still is hooked on litter but hopefully the fear will lessen as she gets used to the big hole in the top! Hanging in there for the long haul!

Jackie, we only have one loo too, so believe me, I can lift the litter kwitter in my sleep and place it on the sink. If I set it on the edge of the tub she hops on it and it spills on my feet. The OH says if I can teach Ginger completely, I can have another kitty. So I am all over that hahaha I am down to about a cup of litter per week

So glad (and a bit jealous!) Ginger has been doing so well with it. We got a little sister for Oliver, and she's had diarrhea problems since we took her home. She also has pretty lousy bathroom habits, whereras Oliver is extremely fussy and clean. He's also proved easy to train, so I thought the timing was perfect to potty train him, since even with two litter boxes he refuses to use it if she's been in there (can't really blame him). He happily pees in the red tray, but refuses to poop in it. I thought it was because he likes to kick the litter around, but his go-to spot is the lino where there's nothing to kick, so I don't know. With nothing to lose, I thought I'd see how he'd do on orange with the peeing, and maybe leave the red on the floor in hopes that he'd start pooping there, but he refuses to pee on orange. Don't have a clue where to go from here. :(
