Soft harness for cats

Hi, has anyone ever tried using a soft harness for taking their MC outside, maybe not for a walk just for some time to play in the grass? I bought ginger a soft harness and am going to take her out on the patio when we are all sitting out there. She is a little skittish and wants to go back inside, but she does look adorable on a leash! Here is a picture of me and Ginger.

Yes... Adorable! We had soft harnesses for the boys when they were smaller. So funny to watch the contortions they put themselves in when the harnesses went on for the first time. Now that they are 11 months, 16 lbs and a little more patient we've moved onto a different type. It is more difficult to unlatch but they did not like the undoing of the Velcro on the soft harnesses. I caught some fur in it a couple of times - probably didn't help! :sad2:

Aw she looks so cute Donna. I think that is a brilliant idea, going to try that with Dylan when he gets older, thank you for that I would never have thought of it !

got one for Neevie, too, but she hated it - just sat there, didn't want to move - I gave up.

Aww poor Neevie, she would probably get used to it and love it! Ginger would walk around on the grass a bit, but since that was the first time her feet every touched grass I think she was a little nervous. I will be bringing her out on the patio more so she gets used to the outside. I love the wildlife and I don't want her to become a hunter! We have 2 Beagles and they scare enough bunnies and squirrels without any help from Miss ginger. Ginger has enough fun killing my houseplants! The silly little Monster!

No Velcro on this soft harness! I picked this one up at the local Walmart! It clips on like a dog harness, and no fur was pulled. Poor babies no one likes their fur pulled!

I got a very simple, but very sturdy one on amazon from a company named Trixie. I envisioned lovely strolls around the neighborhood with Ollie, but it hasn't quite worked out that way. He has an amazing doggie radar, and once he spots one, even if they're silent and a mile away, he starts freaking out. So we go out in the garden together, and if he starts to stray beyond the borders the harness make it easy to reel him back in.

aww, poor Ollie! I have two Beagles, so Ginger is getting used to them. She swats at their tails and chew on their feet and ears! They just look at her, like what is your deal? too funny!
